Angel Heart Cakes has created a delectable angel food cake using a family recipe handed down several generations. Only the finest organic dairy ingredients are combined with natural flavorings to bring you the lightest angel food cake. Two local women with a passion for good food, handcraft each cake from scratch in small batches to maintain the cakes delicate texture.

Angel Heart Cakes was started with the goal to redefine angel food cakes. The angel food cake is an American tradition which dates back several generations and offers one of the most versatile cake choices. Our company has updated a traditional family recipe to reflect a seasonal and fresh approach. Our cakes are airy, light, and fat free, which makes them a popular choice for today's healthier lifestyles.  Both of us grew up in the Bay Area, attended college in California, and married and raised children in Menlo Park.  We have led parallel lives with careers early in our marriages while later volunteering in our children's schools and communities. As our children are now grown, we are ready for a new chapter. We have been creating our angel food  cakes since we were introduced in 2009 by a mutual friend who recognized our shared passion for good food, family, and community.

"We have utilized my grandmother's recipe and modernized it with new and varied flavors to mark the times we live in.  I grew up on these cakes and remember numerous times with the family sharing this dessert with fresh fruit and a dollop of whipped cream.  For me, this is a delicious, feel good dessert, harkening back to simpler times," Debbie reflects.

All of our cakes are handcrafted in small batches, which accounts for their delicate structure.  We use only natural, organic EGGS, and fresh flavorings, and we do not use additives or preservatives. The cakes are prepared in a commercial kitchen where everything is composted and recycled, accordingly.

Our commitment to community and environment even trickles down to our packaging. Our cake boxes are made from utilizing natural scrap paper.  They are uncoated and use no chemicals to change their natural, organic appearance.
